Overview Alien Skin Software has been producing cool graphics software since 1993. In the early days we made the first drop shadow filter for Photoshop. Since then, we have released a steady stream of highly regarded tools for photographers and graphic designers. We distill advanced math and cutting edge research into simple tools that render beautiful pictures. Our reputation for bug-free software and fast, friendly tech support has created an ever growing band of loyal customers. Corporate Philosophy Alien Skin Software is not a normal company. Sure, we like money. Send us as much as you want. But our most important goal is to enjoy our lives. Since we spend way the hell too much time working, we try to find ways to make work fun. We treat people like we want to be treated. Inside the company, that results in profit sharing, flexible hours, and health insurance. We treat each other as equals, even if one of us is the CEO and the other is a shipping clerk. We apply this to our customers too. We don't release software when we know it still has bugs and we don't claim that it is great unless reviewers say so (which they usually do). Another way we have fun is by having lives outside of work. Try it, you might like it! Typical activities include playing in bands, snowboarding, rock climbing, and building race cars. The company encourages outside pursuits, frequently by letting employees use equipment or office space after hours. As long as no one blows a fuse, I don’t mind. If your boss reads this and doesn't get it, then do what I did and start a business in your apartment financed by credit cards. It may not be wise, but it's a lot more fun than wearing a suit!
